A shift-scheduling tool for hospital departments. It turns a week of shift-block templates into a filled, published coverage schedule, then runs swaps, absences, and coverage changes through approvals with a full audit trail.
How does it decide who can work a shift?
One shared eligibility engine checks qualifications, specialties, verified credentials, and each clinician's statutory hour ceiling. The same rules apply whether the schedule is filled automatically by quick fill or edited by hand on the calendar.
How do swaps and absences work?
Clinicians post and claim shifts on the swap board, and file absences from their own schedule. An admin resolves each one with a single recorded decision (approve with a replacement, approve run-short, or decline), so coverage is never quietly lost.
Can it handle more than one department?
Yes. ShiftWerks is multi-tenant: each department is isolated with its own clinicians, templates, and published schedules. The Enterprise tier adds SSO and tenant-level controls across departments.
